KX Legit drops Bosilo, a song of resilience and empowerment

On August 10, 2025, KX Legit, in collaboration with Coster FX, will release “Bosilo,” a powerful new single from his highly anticipated album, “To Lefatshe.” The track, which will be available on all major streaming platforms, is a bold and unapologetic anthem for anyone who has faced negativity and backstabbing.
“Bosilo” uses the local concepts of boloi and bolotsana, referring to witchcraft and harmful energies, as metaphors for the subtle, negative behaviors that people face daily. The song challenges listeners to rise above envy, jealousy, and sabotage, encouraging them to protect their energy and stay focused on their purpose. It’s a message that KX Legit knows firsthand, having dealt with peers who “talk about me behind my back and then smile when they meet me.”
KX Legit knew from the start that he wanted Coster FX on the track. He felt Coster FX was the “complete package,” bringing both musical talent and a shared vision for the song’s message.
The collaboration was a smooth process, with KX Legit completing the hook and his verses before Coster FX added his powerful contribution. Together, they have created what KX Legit believes will be “the biggest song this year.”
The central message of “Bosilo” is clear: “You’re not here to please people, you’re here to live out your purpose.” The song is a call to action, urging listeners to stop seeking external validation and worrying about what others say. It’s about pushing forward and rising above it all. This theme is a key part of the “To Lefatshe” album, which explores the “growing pains” of losing friends and acquaintances due to a steady rise in the music industry.
For KX Legit, it’s crucial to connect with his audience through a language and concepts they understand. “Bosilo,” at its core, is a song about backstabbing, a universal experience. However, it’s grounded in local culture through its use of boloi and its unique blend of drums, guitar, and lyrics. As he puts it, “culture is at the heart of everything I put out. It’s my story, our story, pushed to lefatshe.”
