Consumer Fair to showcase innovation and Economic transition
The Botswana Consumer Fair 2025, themed “Embracing Technology and Innovation for Economic Transition,” will take place from August 25th to 31st at the Fairgrounds. Organized by Fairground Holdings, the event aims to drive economic growth, foster innovation, and connect communities.
The fair is projected to host over 500 exhibitors and welcome more than 36,000 visitors. Notable attractions include traders Hub, a platform showcasing over 50 youth enterprises and startups.
It will also cater a special Tourism Pavilion, highlighting Botswana’s tourist destinations and hospitality sector as well as the Technology and Innovation Zone (featuring cutting-edge solutions and digital services).
Further, there will be a new element, a gambling authority showcase, promoting responsible gaming as well as job creator’s forum (featuring founder Buca Matenge, who will inspire and empower entrepreneurs. The fair aims to be a catalyst for economic empowerment and job creation).
Fairground Holdings is expanding its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by providing six tuckshops to NGOs, including the Botswana Red Cross and Tlamelong Rehabilitation Centre. This initiative will give these organizations a sustainable way to generate income and support their community programs. According to Fairground Holdings CEO Gorata Gabaraane, this shows that sustainable business growth must align with positive social impact.
Tickets are available online via Webtickets and in-store at all Spar and Choppies outlets. Visitors are encouraged to buy tickets early to avoid queues. The event will prioritize safety with enhanced security checks, on-site medical teams, and clear signage. Entertainment options will include inflatable slides and pools, quad bike rides, video game zones and amusement park attractions
