Berry Heart speaks on IP and transformation
From the stage to the policy table, Berry Heart is proving to be a force of nature. In a world where many people find their niche and stay there, she has made a career out of building bridges and breaking new ground.
Her story isn’t just about success; it’s a living testament to the power of influence and a refusal to be put in a box. It’s clear as day that her path has been anything but linear, and she has always been one to march to the beat of her own drum.
It all started in 2020 with a single phone call from the Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA) of Botswana. What began as a request for a quote on intellectual property (IP) video adverts turned into a powerful partnership.

Berry Heart and her team at Berry Heart Creations were given a blank check to create campaigns that truly resonated with people. The collaboration was a stroke of genius, proving that creative minds can make even the most complex subjects accessible. From that moment, she was off to the races, and her journey with IP has been going from strength to strength.
Her influence quickly extended beyond Botswana’s borders. She has since partnered with the World Intellectual Property Organization, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), and AFRIPI.
It’s safe to say she has put her money where her mouth is and has now transitioned into an IP practitioner, all while staying true to her roots as a creative and entrepreneur. This is a woman who knows how to read the room and has a clear vision for her future.
But to tell a long story short, her work as a bridge-builder began long before that pivotal call. Years ago, she collaborated with the French Embassy and French Government on her charity album, Les enfants de demain.
The project, which benefited Springboard Humanism and TAWLA, showed that her heart has always been in the right place. She later became a Botswana Ambassador in the UN Arts Council and worked with the European Union on the Human Rights Policy Agenda.

These experiences set the stage for her current role, teaching her how to pull the strings between art, business, and governance. She has always been someone to go the extra mile to make a difference.
Berry Heart has always been a multi-hyphenate, building multiple brands like Berry Heart Creations, Baby Amari Clothing Apparel, and Prestine Properties. She has worn many hats, transforming from a recording artist, actor, and author into a multi-disciplinary entrepreneur. Her background in English, German, French, and business studies gave her the tools to keep her finger on the pulse and communicate across cultures while ensuring her brand remained authentically Botswana. She has a way of making everything seem like a piece of cake.
Today, she is pursuing a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property, proving that for her, education will always be cool. She has also joined an international IP organization, ensuring that her voice is heard on the global stage.
For Berry Heart, the sky’s the limit. She knows that to get to the bottom of things you have to be willing to start from scratch and go with the flow. Her journey is a testament that she will not be a flash in the pan. It’s easy to see that she has a lot on her plate but is not one to take a back seat.
Her mission has always been simple: to create an impact that outlives her. She has always been one to hit the nail on the head when it comes to her goals. It’s a journey that’s all about sinking or swimming, and she has certainly proven she knows how to swim.
She has learned to look on the bright side of every challenge and understands that you have to put your best foot forward to succeed. Her story is a great reminder that actions speak louder than words. She has always been someone to think outside the box and has a larger-than-life personality. She knows that in life, you have to take the bull by the horns and make things happen.
For her, it seems that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And she knows how to call a spade a spade when it comes to the hard work required for success. Her story is one that will stand the test of time.
